Preconference Session with Sandra Herbst-Luedtke
Providing leadership to support quality classroom assessment can be exciting and challenging work. In this interactive session, participants will explore:
- indicators of powerful assessment practice
- strategies to support classroom teachers to engage students in their assessment
- ways that leaders can model assessment for learning practices
- opportunities to transform barriers to assessment for learning
Concurrent Sessions will:
- Explore ways of improving student learning through quality classroom assessments.
- Examine specific assessment methods including: portfolios, performance assessments, student-involved conferences, self & peer assessment, rubrics, and more.
- Provide opportunities to engage in dialogue with colleagues about assessment and evaluation practices that are focused and practical in nature.
