Workshops
The Saskatchewan Professional Development Unit (SPDU) offers workshops on a wide variety of topics including:
- Aboriginal Education
- Assessment
- Classroom & School Cultures
- Teaching & Learning
- Technology
- Leadership
The SPDU and STF co-sponsor Unit Writing workshops to assist teachers in developing units for all grade levels and subject areas. Students and faculty are welcome to participate in the workshops. Once complete, lending copies of these units are available from the Stewart Resources Centre.
School-Based Workshops
The SPDU is contracted regularly to work with school staffs on a wide variety of topics such as peer coaching, team building, developing positive school cultures, conflict resolution, student assessment and evaluation, strategic planning, instructional strategies, classroom management, diversity and equity issues, and professional growth planning. SPDU is also active with presentations at teachers’ institutes, conventions and special subject council events. For more information on SPDU school-based workshops visit their website.
