Celebrating Teachers
The STF Bulletin tries to recognize teachers from throughout the province whose contributions are not necessarily on the ‘political’ or more highly visible side of the profession, but rather in their own respective classrooms. The subjects can be teachers who are formally recognized via awards but equally they are an effort to recognize the eclectic group of men and women who comprise the province’s 12,000 teachers. Their stories may vary but the common theme is their passion for their students and the classroom.
Starting Out
The Saskatchewan Bulletin regularly includes a column that is intended for the young teachers entering the profession. The monthly contributions, submitted by staff of the Saskatchewan Professional Development Unit, deal with a variety of topics teachers are likely to experience in their classroom as well as members of the teaching profession.
