Committees
Strategic Advisory Committees
At present, three committees are appointed by the provincial Executive to advise on matters related to: Economic Services, Social and Political Advocacy, and Professional Stewardship and Responsibility.
Ad Hoc Committees
These committees are appointed by the provincial Executive from time to time to deal with specific matters of current concern, for example professional competence issues.
Other Executive-Appointed Committees
These include such committees as those that deal with Income Continuance Plan claims and with the resolutions submitted for consideration at Council meetings.
Council-Elected Committees
The Federation’s Council elects members to the ethics, collective interests and professional competency committees at its spring meeting. Membership on each is open to any teacher who wishes to seek election.
