The efforts of the teachers of Saskatchewan to establish and maintain a professional organization is a story of dedication and determination. The unification of rural and urban teachers into one organization resulted in the formation of the Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation in 1933.
The Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation exists to promote the cause of education in Saskatchewan and the professional and economic welfare of its members. Saskatchewan teachers have always faced the realities and challenges of the decades in confidence, knowing that their professional organization is dedicated to their interests.
