Eight members required – two-year term
Are you passionate about the intersection of technology and education? The Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation (STF) is seeking enthusiastic members to join a new working committee focused on the evolving digital landscape in schools.
Committee members need not be experts in technology. We are seeking a variety of perspectives from teachers across the province on the impact (both positive and negative) of technology and digitalization in education to inform the work of the Committee. This includes distance learning teachers, in-person teachers, principals, vice-principals and others.
Why Join?
- Shape the Future: Influence how technology impacts teaching and learning.
- Collaborate: Work with fellow educators to address key challenges and opportunities.
- Innovate: Help develop new policies and resources to support teachers and students in a digital world.
Committee Details
- Duration: Two-year term starting fall 2025.
- Meetings: Six times over two years.
Committee Mandate
- Investigate trends, beliefs, benefits and challenges of increased technology use in education.
- Consider the impact of technology on teachers’ working conditions, relationships, privacy, professionalism and pedagogy.
- Review and amend STF Policy 2.16 (Technology and Education) as needed.
