Teacher Well-being Webinar Series: Mental Wellness

Mental wellness is not the absence of mental illness. It’s about managing our ability to react to the stresses of the world around us; to be able to deal with the challenges life throws our way in a way that doesn’t lead to overwhelm and burnout.

In this webinar, teachers will spend time considering the relationship between teaching and mental health, with a focus on resilience and burnout.

By attending, you will:

  • Spend time considering your mental wellness levels.
  • Learn specific strategies you can use to set boundaries, manage negative thinking and maintain your mental wellness throughout the school year.

Facilitator:

Wade Repta is an occupational therapist and certified disability management professional. He has 20 years of experience working with teachers to minimize disability and health-related barriers to improve their capacity to remain at or return to work. He is the vice-president of Humanworks, co-founder of Humanworks press, and author of The Well Teacher, a resource guide that empowers teachers to take greater control of their own wellness.
