This workshop will explore practical strategies for integrating Indigenous perspectives into classroom practice through intentional reflection at the levels of student learning outcomes, curriculum content and learning resources, instructional methods/strategies, assessment methods/strategies and as a philosophical foundation of the curriculum. Engaging in this work is an excellent step toward mobilizing the Ministry of Education’s Inspiring Success Policy Framework.

Participants will:

  • Develop foundational understanding of culturally responsive pedagogy.
  • Explore practical approaches to incorporating Indigenous ways of knowing and learning into planning and practice.
  • Engage in making culturally relevant curricular connections.
