ECEC Fall Workshop: Playful Mathematical Inquiry and Artists’ Studio

This event is brought to you by the Saskatchewan Early Childhood Education Council

Playful Mathematical Inquiry Part 2 in the morning includes Reggio Inspired Principles and Practices; Provocations and Projects; Connecting the Dots – a week, a month, a year; Math Workshop/Balanced Numeracy; Playful Instructional Routines; and Measurement. In the afternoon is Artists' Studio which includes The Aesthetic Dimension; Affordances of Materials to Support Learning Across the Curriculum; and Examples of Artists’ Studio/Ateliers from our Contexts. Studio Time also takes place in the afternoon with time to engage in the following ateliers: Charcoal/Chalk Pastels; Watercolour; and Textiles or Shiny Materials. Finally, make connections to your own practice and context.
