Facilitator Series - The Many Faces of Facilitation: Coach, Facilitator, Presenter, Collaborator
There are many roles that a facilitator of learning will experience when working with adults. This day is designed to focus on both the skills and art of communication when working with colleagues. Choosing the appropriate stance for a context will be discussed, including instructional coaching, collaboration and the principles of partnership.
A quality facilitator:
- Is approachable, engaging, humorous and deeply respectful of all learners.
- Has a strong professional knowledge of skills related to coaching, facilitating, collaborating and consulting, but also views self as a learner while facilitating.
- Is able to communicate effectively, including listening to understand, paraphrasing, directing or redirecting and making connections.
- Understand the characteristics of adult learners and how to best meet their needs.
- Practice specific communication skills for listening, questioning and paraphrasing.
- Explore the different roles that a facilitator of adult learning may take on while working with colleagues.

- Between two and 10 business days before event - Standard
- Within two business days before event - Late
Payment must accompany registration. The refund deadline for all workshops and events is 10 business days prior to the start date. Registrants who withdraw prior to the refund deadline are entitled to a full refund or transfer of their registration fee.
