Family Literacy Day

Family Literacy Day is January 27, 2022, SAVE THE DATE!

Join the Saskatchewan Literacy Network and all the family literacy hubs as we celebrate Family Literacy Week, January 23 to 29, 2022. Activities will be focused on literacy and spending time in nature, which provides many benefits for our minds and bodies. Resources are available in English and French on the ABC Life Literacy website.

To learn more about how your organization, as a community partner, could participate in the Family Literacy Day theme, develop events for families to attend on Family Literacy Day or Family Literacy Week, visit the Saskatchewan Literacy Network’s website, email or call the Saskatchewan Literacy Network, 306-651-7288 or toll-free 1-888-511-2111, and ask for Phaedra.

More information on Saskatchewan activities will be added to the website as details are finalized. Please visit the Saskatchewan Literacy Network website often as Family Literacy Day approaches.

Family Literacy is the opportunity to strengthen the relationship between the child and caregivers by learning – and doing – together. Literacy and learning are key to a strong Saskatchewan, including opening doors to employment, better social and health outcomes, and active participation in society. There are nine Family Literacy Hubs in Saskatchewan – find a Hub in your area.
