Benefit Improvements Starting January 1, 2023
Your health benefits are about to improve. Following a plan design review, the Pension and Benefits Board of Directors approved the following benefit changes effective January 1, 2023:
- Physiotherapy will be covered at 100 percent to a maximum of $1,000 per calendar year, per person. The benefit was previously covered at 80 percent to a maximum of $500 per calendar year, per person.
- Coverage for hearing aids is increasing from $1,200 to $2,500 every four years. The benefit will continue to be covered at 80 percent.
