French-Language Policy Working Committee

Eight members required – Two‐year term

The STF is inviting members with experience in French-language instruction to contribute their insight to a Working Committee that will investigate the changing trends, beliefs and challenges that impact French-language teachers in Saskatchewan.

Teachers in French immersion and francophone schools, substitute teachers, students in education programs and superannuated teachers with experience in French-language teaching are all encouraged to apply.

The Committee will meet two to four times over the course of two years beginning fall of 2026.

The Committee responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing STF policy and recommending changes as required.
• Providing recommendations regarding Federation programs and services to support French-language teachers.

Additional Information

As per Clause 12.3.2 of the 2023-2026 Provincial Collective Bargaining Agreement, teachers serving on STF committees will be granted leave without loss of salary and benefits for any days required to fulfil their duties.

The STF encourages all members to participate in our organizational operations. Preference will be given to those not currently holding other positions, but all members are welcome to apply for multiple openings.
