The Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation is looking for members to join the Supporting Queer Teachers Implementation Committee.
The Committee will support the implementation of recommendations provided by the Supporting Queer Teachers Working Committee. This will include providing insight into the needs of queer teachers and allies, acting as subject matter experts in resource development and providing support and guidance on the development of queer programming.
The Federation recognizes that queer teachers and active allies have a valuable perspective and need to be included in the implementation of these recommendations.
Committee Details
- Duration – Two-year term starting February 2026.
- Meetings – Three times over two years.

Eligibility:
- Membership on the Committee is open to all Federation members, including education students and superannuated teachers. Members who identify as part of the queer community are encouraged to apply.

Additional Information
As per Clause 12.3.2 of the 2023-2026 Provincial Collective Bargaining Agreement, teachers serving on STF committees will be granted leave without loss of salary and benefits for any days required to fulfil their duties.
The STF encourages all members to participate in our organizational operations. Preference will be given to those not currently holding other positions, but all members are welcome to apply for multiple openings.
