Media Advisory: Teachers’ One-Day Provincewide Strike and Demonstration Sites

Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation members are gathering at demonstration sites throughout the province during their one-day, provincewide strike on Tuesday, January 16. A complete listing of each location is appended to this advisory.

Tuesday morning, STF President Samantha Becotte and Canadian Teachers’ Federation President Heidi Yetman will deliver letters to the Premier and Minister at the Saskatchewan Legislative Building. These letters are from teachers and supporters across the province, describing critical issues in the publicly funded education system, and what the government must do to address them. President Becotte and President Yetman will be available to media in the Saskatchewan Legislative Building foyer at approximately 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 16.
