Sound Walls – Bridging Phonemic Awareness and Phonics in Reading Instruction

This is session is part of a series of asynchronous online workshops called Evidence-Based Practices in Early Literacy.

Join this online course to explore the research and classroom applications in using sound walls in the early literacy classroom bridging phonemic awareness and phonics in reading instruction. Attend this online course at your own pace and at times that work for you.

Learning Outcomes:

• Explore teacher rationale and purposes for incorporating a sound-wall into literacy instruction.
• Experience high impact teaching routines through model lessons, which connect to current research on how the brain learns to read.
