Trauma-informed/sensitive Pedagogies and Practices Microcredential
Hosted By: Child Trauma Research Centre and University of Regina Centre for Continuing Education
Created in partnership with the Child Trauma Research Centre, this program was created in the spirit of two-eyed seeing (Marshall, 2012) and focuses on proactive, strength-based approaches for teachers, administrators and all student support workers. Participants must register through the Centre for Continuing Education (U of R). This microcertificate consists of 2 required courses, and a choice between 2 electives for which participants will earn digital badges. Three badges are required to earn a Microcertificate through the Centre for Continuing Education at the University of Regina.
Learning Outcomes:
- Explore the nature and implications of trauma-sensitive practice in schools through both western and indigenous perspectives.
- Analyze current practice and make adjustments as necessary based on trauma-sensitive principles.
- Apply trauma-sensitive practice to support personal wellness practices.

All educators including: Principals, Vice-Principals, Educational Assistants, Student Support Teacher, Classroom Teachers, Classroom Complexity Teachers
