Learners look for connections between concepts or key words as they sort them into groups.
- Provide learners with concepts (key words) on cards.
- In small groups, learners:
- sort these concepts,
- determine labels for each category, and
- show the connections between concepts/groups.
Learners can record their own ideas on sticky notes or cards (one idea per sticky note/card) and then sort, label, and connect their ideas.
