Teachers Agree to Binding Arbitration for New Provincial Collective Agreement

The STF has agreed to participate in binding arbitration for the issues of wages and class complexity-accountability framework. The decision was made following extensive consultation with members that took place this week. As a result, the current provincewide work-to-rule sanction will cease today, June 14, 2024, at 4 p.m. and there will be no further sanctions.

Saskatchewan Teachers Reject Tentative Agreement

The majority of teachers in Saskatchewan have voted against a tentative Provincial Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Teachers’ Bargaining Committee and Government-Trustee Bargaining Committee. In voting held Wednesday and Thursday, 55 percent of teachers opposed the agreement, with 88 percent of eligible voters casting a ballot.
