Collective Bargaining

The Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation and representatives of the Government-Trustee Bargaining Committee signed a three-year Provincial Collective Bargaining Agreement on April 3, 2025.

The Agreement, which is in effect from September 1, 2023, to August 31, 2026, was finalized after the Teachers’ Bargaining Committee and GTBC agreed to language around the class complexity article mandated by the award of an Arbitration Board. The inclusion of class complexity is a historic gain for teachers and the future of public education.

Teachers were awarded a salary increase of 9 percent over three years: 4 percent retroactive to September 1, 2023; 3 percent retroactive to September 1, 2024; and 2 percent as of September 1, 2025.
